Reduce Paper Clutter With These Apps

paperless office

After my interview with Investment Executive last month, I received great feedback on additional apps to help executives reduce paper clutter and boost productivity. To recap, here’s a list of my top ones and a few recommended by my readers:

Doodle

When trying to organize meetings or events, Doodle is very convenient. With this excellent scheduling app, all attendees can fill in their availability on a calendar.

MileBug

These mileage tracker apps are great for executives who need to track their business mileage. Some have GPS tracking and report generation, so it avoids having to take notes (and reduces headaches!).

CamCard and Scannable

No need to hold on to that crazy stack of business cards. CamCard and Scannable read and save information instantly to your contact list. The bonus with Scannable is that it works with LinkedIn, so you can view the person’s profile and even connect with them. There’s no need to search for LinkedIn information later.

Password Manager

Passwords, passwords, passwords. So many. But with 1Password, you don’t need to write them down anymore – you need one master password. (Be sure to make it a good one!)

Receipts by Wave

Receipts by Wave lets you take a picture of your receipts and upload them effortlessly to accounting software. It’s paperless and effortless.

Evernote

Besides taking notes (yes, it can read your handwriting), Evernote can save pictures, text and documents. Plus, it’s available across all your devices.

Adobe Reader

The Adobe Reader app is excellent if you need to view many PDF documents. Instead of printing off and marking them up, you can comment and sign directly on the PDF.

Hopefully, these apps will help you reduce paper clutter and let you focus on your business. Thank you all for your comments. Keep them coming!
