Linda and her team helped us move from one house we’d been in for 18 years to a much smaller house. We are older and have some disabilities. We simply could not have managed without their magnificent assistance. Every team member was smart, efficient, cheerful and friendly. Linda and the Out of Chaos team made the prospect and the reality of the move much easier. They helped sort out what to take, what to put in storage, what to sell, and what to donate. They measured furniture and made 2D paper cutouts to help us “see” how everything would fit in her smaller space. They also coordinated expertly with the movers and the retirement home.

Nowadays, if you want to sell your house, you have to declutter and remove all personal items. The Out of Chaos team is efficient, thoughtful, and supportive in helping get this done. Everything is labelled and colour-coded. You don’t know how valuable this system is until you need something that’s in a box in a storage locker. The box was located quickly as it was precisely labelled. Once the house was sold, we had the team back the week before Christmas to help unpack. Not only did they unpack, but they put everything away and organized it all. I am still grateful to open drawers and find everything in a thoughtful place. Thank you to all the team at Out of Chaos. On several occasions, Linda and her crew helped me by streamlining, sorting, and organizing a study and decluttering the entire house, basement, and garage. As well they helped me prepare to receive a big international move, effectively combining two households while the upper part of the house underwent a renovation. Linda also had great advice on who to contact for the renovation, how to rent a temporary storage pod, and how to organize permits for it. She and her crew helped to organize the selling of furniture by commission, donate goods to the right places, and get “debris” removed.
They also helped friends to get their household packed prior to a long-distance move on relatively short notice when they were running out of time, supporting them with advice on how to prepare for being without their household goods in an empty new place before the moving van would arrive a week later and how to pack and prepare for this.
Linda and her team were excellent at communication, reliable, friendly and supportive in helping to decide what should stay and what should go. They also dealt kindly, empathetically and tactfully with situations where deciding what to keep was difficult.
The amount of time it would have taken to do [this work] on our own most likely would have discouraged us from undertaking the effort at all. With the help of Linda and her crew, it became a planned, structured, well-organized, fast-progressing process that got things done. Without their help, this would not have been possible. Linda and her crew were simply invaluable throughout all of this.
I hired Out of Chaos for an organizing service one wouldn’t typically think of needing. I needed my workspace organized. I mean, my computer. I work in multi-media with lots of large files of all different sorts. I thought I had a workable filing system – except I was taking too long to find the files I needed. Linda spent time with me working out my entire system on my computer. It’s like night and day. I save lots of time. She set up some project templates so I can easily set up new jobs quickly and consistently. She’s amazing. Even if you don’t need organizational support, you probably do. 🙂 And Out of Chaos is who to work with.
We used Out of Chaos to move us out of our home. If we could give them 10 stars, we would. Their attention to detail and an astute understanding of how hard it was for us to move (which was traumatic) surpassed all expectations. They are a first-class company with a first-class staff.

Linda and her team are incredible! I have never been so organized, and days after my move, even my garage was organized. I can’t recommend her and her team enough! Working with them was a game changer compared to my last move.

Linda Chu and her team are miracle workers! This is the third time I’ve used Out of Chaos to purge and declutter my home before a move. It all began when the Principal of the company, Linda Chu, came to my home to get a lay of the land. Linda listened intently and knowingly to my needs and then leapt into action, formulating a game plan which first involved assembling a team of employees to come to my home and get me ready to move from a large 3-bedroom townhouse to a small Vancouver condo. Linda accommodated my tight schedule, which I was thankful for, as she is in high demand, and for very good reason.
Linda and her team worked tirelessly for three days straight, bringing in good-quality boxes, wardrobes, and packing materials. They helped me edit my belongings, organize items to go to charity/donation, and consignment. Then, they packed everything from every single room in the house, including my artwork. I was there with them for one of the three days, and I still can’t fathom how much they accomplished during that time.
I also learned a lot about household organization from them and look forward to incorporating those strategies and tips into my everyday life. Linda explained her fees, which I thought were fair and reasonable, considering the immense value realized by the end.
The work Linda and her team undertook in three days would have taken me four months or more to complete. And I can honestly say they made it fun. The team worked diligently and expediently but with much care and always somehow with a sense of ease – and a sense of humour. I especially appreciated this because I was very stressed about my move. Linda also happily liaised with my stager/realtor at my request to work out the logistics of the move.
The real benefit here is working with consummate professionals who work well as a team. They have done this work many times before and know their stuff.
I learned this time around that Linda also does office decluttering (including digital clean up) for corporations and business professionals and gives workshops to employees of all sized companies/corporations/groups on how to get organized (at work and at home) and stay that way!
In this age of overconsumption and an overwhelming accumulation of “stuff” and information, I think hiring Out of Chaos is simply a no-brainer resource for Vancouverites and Lower Mainlanders. From this point on, I wouldn’t even consider moving without Linda and one of her excellent teams. I will also hire them for “revisits,” i.e. getting my home back in order whenever it starts veering off its organized rails. We initially enlisted Linda’s help during a hectic move where she miraculously transformed a mind-boggling jumble left on our living room floor by unpackers (referred to us by a different company) into functional areas in our home within several hours.
